Next Lev-el

Cliftonville Football Club are delighted to announce that Levi Ives has this evening signed a contract extension.

The 24-year-old – whose new deal ties him to Solitude until the summer of 2025 – has made 226 appearances for the Reds since making his debut in October 2015.

His five goals in the 2021/22 campaign – which he ended with a place in the official Danske Bank Premiership Team of the Year – took the former Torquay United and Bristol City defender’s overall tally to 16, while next season will begin with Ives’ fourth venture into European football with the Club.

Confirming the deal, Chairman Paul McKeown said: “After the injury problems that struck him down for a couple of years, it was great to see Levi Ives back to his best in the season just finished – when he was arguably better than we’ve ever seen before.

“He had a really strong year full of committed, influential performances, great defensive work, exciting forays forward and his fair share of eye-catching goals. Levi is a player who has always given Cliftonville his all and we’re very pleased indeed that we’ll be seeing him in a Red shirt for many years to come.”
