Cliftonville Ladies are delighted to announce details of a new weekly support scheme for the benefit of players throughout their various age groups.

With football’s lockdown forcing the ongoing suspension of the 2020 Danske Bank Women’s Premiership season, players from the Ladies’ senior and Academy set-ups are invited to join regular Monday night Zoom chats with experts who will offer practical advice on a wide range of issues pertaining to training, nutrition and mental wellbeing.

The opening session will take place at 7pm tomorrow evening when Northern Ireland and Everton striker Simone Magill will chart her progress from Mid-Ulster FC to playing professionally alongside the likes of England international Izzy Christiansen.

Simone Magill celebrates her world record-breaking goal at Solitude

A two-time Women’s Premiership Player of the Year, Magill was Everton Ladies’ Player of the Season in 2014/15 and also holds the world record for the fastest goal ever scored in Women’s International football after finding the net just 11 seconds into Northern Ireland’s Euro 2017 Qualifying victory over Georgia four years ago – which, as fate would have it, was played at Solitude.

Plenty, then, for the inspirational 25-year-old to discuss with our own stars of the present and future when she logs in for the first chapter of what promises to be a rewarding and informative series.
