Cliftonville Under 15 Girls got their season off to a five-star start against Lisburn Ladies this weekend.

Katie Markey opened the scoring with a neat finish at the Brook Activity Centre, where Tara Reilly and Aoibhin Deery-Hayes added their names to the scoresheet to make it 3-0 before half-time.

A well-drilled Reds defence kept their hard-working opponents at bay after the interval before Deery-Hayes banked her second of the game ahead of debutant Molly McCotter sealing the victory with Cliftonville’s fifth.
