Aimee’s wait for a new heart

Supporters may recall a story from earlier this year about young supporter Aimee Brady.

The 10-year-old, who was born with a heart defect, is a patient at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children and has lived with heart failure for the last five years, during which time she has undergone three surgeries.

While the Magherafelt girl – who has expressed a desire to resume her duties as a Cliftonville Matchday Mascot on her next visit to Solitude – awaits a heart transplant, her family are seeking financial support to help them stay with and care for Aimee while she receives round-the-clock monitoring and medication from specialist doctors and nurses.
