Moot points

Niall Grace says Glentoran will visit Solitude expecting to take full points from tomorrow’s clash with Cliftonville.

The final pre-split fixture of the Danske Bank Premiership programme sees the Reds commence a run of four consecutive home games by welcoming the Glens to B14 for a contest that Grace insists will be closely fought.

“Glentoran are a good side,” he says.

“They’re a bit like ourselves – a lot of people think they shouldn’t be where they are. They’re going to come into the game expecting to win the game just like we are.”

You can read the full Grace interview in tomorrow’s edition of our Matchday Magazine, which will be on sale at Solitude for £2.50.

Alongside your latest poster, The Red Eye’s 22nd issue of the campaign reflects on the history of Cliftonville’s shirt sponsors, examines the Glens’ competition for the final European Play-Off place and steps 83, 53 and 34 years back down memory lane – plus plenty more besides.

Our Matchday Magazine has attained a top-three position in the NI Football Programme Collectors’ annual awards poll for the last seven seasons – assuming the runners-up position on six of those occasions – so, if you’re not a regular reader, why not take a look at what you’ve been missing out on?
