Dungannon Swifts 3-1 Cliftonville

Cliftonville slumped to another dismal away defeat as a Daniel Hughes hat-trick helped Dungannon Swifts to all three points at Stangmore Park this afternoon.

After springing the visitors’ offside trap to put Dungannon ahead, Hughes took advantage of further slack defending to make it 2-1 just after Jamie Harney had nodded the Reds level.

Any hopes Cliftonville had of getting back into the tie were then extinguished when Hughes’ close-range header earned both the matchball and victory for his side.
