Sticking point

Ballinamallard United 1-1 Cliftonville

Cliftonville were made to pay for a lack of ruthlessness as Ballinamallard United clung on for a point at Ferney Park this afternoon.

Trailing to Ryan Curran’s 21st minute penalty, the Reds hit back through Garry Breen’s first goal for the Club but were unable to make their dominance count thereafter, with a host of chances going to waste.

The second period started with Martin Donnelly seeing an effort cleared off the line and Jay Donnelly hit the post, with both Joe Gormley and Daniel Hughes also going close during a passage of one-way traffic that also saw a late Gormley strike ruled out for offside.
