Swan into Solitude

Cliftonville’s pre-season preparations continue this weekend when a Swansea City XI visit Solitude.

The Reds – whose programme commenced with a narrow 1-0 defeat to Dundalk at Oriel Park before overcoming Ballyclare Comrades 5-0 on home turf last Saturday – were victorious when the Swans last visited north Belfast back on August 8, 2012, with a fearsome effort from Liam Boyce settling the contest, and you can cast your eyes over this latest match up, where admission is set at just £7 for Adults and £5 for Concessions.

After tackling the Welsh outfit, Barry Gray’s side will lock horns with Newry City at home on Tuesday before travelling to face Fermanagh & Western League side Lisbellaw United next Saturday.

Home dates with Shamrock Rovers and Newington YC follow ahead of the Danske Bank Premiership curtain-raiser with Ards on August 12.
